Monthly versus annual membership

A monthly plan commits a smaller amount at each renewal. The annual package pays for a longer period at a lower equivalent monthly rate in the published table. Compare the total payable and how long you expect to use member content, not only the monthly equivalent displayed in marketing.

If you already have a preserved older rate, compare your own renewal amount before changing plans. The distinction between a Jagex account login and the game character receiving membership matters when you manage several characters. Premier changed to the 12-month package

Jagex’s support article says Premier changed into a 12-Month Membership package in March 2026. The current package includes a one-time permanent unlock of 100 bank spaces; characters that already received that permanent unlock do not receive a new repeated grant merely because they renew. These changes affect what the annual package contains, not just its name. Bonds are a different way to add membership

Jagex’s pricing announcement confirms that one Bond can be redeemed for 14 days of membership and lists US$9.99 for a single Bond. Compare the amount of membership time you receive rather than treating one Bond as a full calendar month. Also check the effect on any active grandfathered agreement before changing how you maintain access. Renewal timing and grandfathered rates

The price-change FAQ says membership rebilling starts 72 hours before expiry. Canceling less than three days before renewal may therefore be too late to prevent a charge; the announcement links support for refund review in that situation. Protected grandfathered rates require an eligible recurring monthly agreement maintained from before September 27, 2024.
