How to Cancel a Life360 Subscription and Stop Renewals

This guide explains how to identify the correct cancellation route, what happens to your paid features, how free trials convert, and what to do if you cannot find the subscription.

For US users, Life360’s current public plans page lists a Free membership and paid Silver, Gold, and Platinum memberships. Features and availability can vary by plan and may include Location History, Place Alerts, driving reports, emergency and roadside services, digital-safety tools, and pet-related benefits. The Free membership currently lists two days of Location History, two Place Alerts, and a Family Driving Summary. Silver lists seven days of Location History and five places with unlimited alerts. Before canceling, confirm whether you have a paid membership, who the subscriber is, and how it is billed. Apple- and Google Play-billed memberships must be canceled with the relevant store after the in-app cancellation flow, while a membership bought directly from Life360.com can be canceled in Manage Membership on Life360.com. If Life360 is provided through an employer benefit program, follow the route stated for that program instead; it may require contacting the employer or reseller. Canceling does not immediately remove paid features. For a Life360 Paid Membership, cancellation takes effect on the next renewal date, and you retain paid access through the current paid period. Steps to solve it

For example, if you bought Life360 through Google Play, use the Google account that made the purchase and cancel Life360 from that account’s subscriptions. Only the subscriber can cancel a membership. This is especially important for family purchases. If a family member created the paid membership, the subscription is associated with that family member’s account, and only that person can view or cancel it. Cancel My Membership — Life360

If you started through a free trial, cancel before the trial period ends if you do not want to continue. For an Apple-billed trial, Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you do not cancel during the free trial, Life360 states that it will charge the selected Paid Membership price when the trial ends and continue charging until you cancel. What Happens After You Cancel

Canceling a Life360 Paid Membership turns off future automatic renewal. It does not end the membership immediately. Your cancellation becomes effective at the next renewal date, and paid features remain available until the end of the current paid period. Life360 Terms of Service

That timing can be useful if you cancel after deciding not to renew but still want access to Silver, Gold, or Platinum features for the remainder of the time already paid for. Life360’s terms say there are no refunds for unused subscription time except where applicable law or the terms’ cooling-off provisions require otherwise. Canceling a Paid Membership does not delete your Life360 account. If you also want to delete the account, use Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app, or log in at Life360.com, open Manage Membership, and scroll to the Delete Account section. Common Issues and Troubleshooting

You cannot find the Life360 subscription in Apple or Google Play. Check the Apple ID or Google account used when the membership was purchased. You see Life360 in the app but not on Life360.com. The membership may have been purchased through Apple or Google Play. Direct web cancellation is for memberships bought through Life360.com, while Apple and Google Play purchases must be canceled through their respective stores. You deleted the app but are still being charged. Deleting the app does not cancel a Paid Membership. Cancel the membership separately through the original billing route before deleting the app or account. Life360 Terms of Service

You canceled but see another charge. First, confirm that cancellation was completed by the subscriber through the applicable billing route and check the membership’s renewal date and payment account. If the purchase was billed by Apple or Google, review the store’s purchase history and refund or support process; Life360’s terms separately state that unused subscription time is not refunded except where the terms or applicable law provide otherwise. You are not the subscriber but want the Circle unsubscribed. Ask the subscriber to cancel the Paid Membership if the goal is to stop recurring charges.
