How to Cancel a StoryReel Subscription: Find Your Billing Provider

For a StoryReel cancellation request, first identify the company that processed the charge. StoryReel’s FAQ directs users to Profile > Top Up or Subscribe to choose a plan, but that FAQ does not give cancellation steps. The U.S. App Store listing provides an iPhone in-app route, and a StoryReel developer response posted on Google Play on September 18, 2026 provides an Android route. Because the applicable route can depend on the billing provider and app version, use the receipt before choosing one. StoryReel FAQ StoryReel on the App Store StoryReel on Google Play

That purchase area may help you review what the app currently shows, but StoryReel’s FAQ does not describe Profile > Top Up or Subscribe as a subscription-management or cancellation screen. The FAQ, User Agreement, and Privacy Policy do not themselves list plan prices, trial lengths, renewal schedules, cancellation deadlines, standard refund rules, or store-specific cancellation instructions. However, the current U.S. App Store listing’s developer-supplied subscription description says that some content or features may require a subscription purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. It also states automatic-renewal timing, gives an in-app cancellation route, and says there is no refund when a renewal succeeds. Use the receipt and the applicable provider’s controls, because the cited Apple listing and Google Play developer response provide different routes. For account termination, StoryReel’s User Agreement says that users may terminate an account by contacting customer service. StoryReel User Agreement Closing an account is not proof that recurring charges have stopped. This is important if Apple, Google Play, or another provider processed the purchase.

Before you cancel

Start with your receipt, card statement, bank transaction, or purchase history. Look for the merchant name or billing platform beside the charge. The payment record is the best starting point because it may identify who controls the recurring payment.

Collect these details before you request cancellation, ask about a charge, or terminate your account:

  • Transaction date and amount
  • Merchant name shown on the statement
  • Receipt, order number, or store purchase record
  • Screenshot of the StoryReel purchase area, if available
  • The StoryReel account currently signed in
  • Any notices from Apple, Google Play, your bank, or another payment provider

StoryReel says users may register or sign in through authorized third-party accounts, including Facebook, Google, and Apple. It also says users may bind contact information to an account. StoryReel User Agreement Confirm that you are in the relevant StoryReel account, but do not assume that the sign-in method identifies the billing provider.

Do not rely on deleting the StoryReel app as a documented cancellation method. StoryReel’s published pages do not explain whether removing the app stops recurring billing or terminates an account. StoryReel User Agreement Use the cancellation route offered by the biller on your receipt. Contact StoryReel customer service separately if you also want to terminate the account.

Steps to solve it

Use this checklist to choose the correct route. It avoids assuming that StoryReel has an in-app cancel button.

Step What to do Why it matters
1 Check the receipt, statement, or purchase history. The billing record may identify the company that charged you.
2 Open StoryReel and confirm the signed-in account. StoryReel supports authorized third-party sign-in methods. StoryReel User Agreement
3 If your receipt shows Apple billing, use Apple’s subscription controls. If you are using StoryReel’s current iPhone app, you can also check the route in its App Store listing: top-right avatar > Payment and Subscription > Subscription > select the StoryReel subscription > Cancel Subscription. Apple manages Apple-billed subscriptions, while StoryReel’s published in-app route may vary with the app version. Apple Support StoryReel on the App Store
4 If you are using the Android app and the charge is not in Google Play, update StoryReel and check Profile > Settings > Manage Membership. A StoryReel developer response on its official Google Play listing gives this route; if it is unavailable, use the receipt and StoryReel support rather than assuming the subscription is inactive. StoryReel on Google Play
5 Follow Apple or Google Play instructions only if that provider billed the charge. Each billing provider manages its own payment settings. Apple Support Google Play Help
6 Use Profile > Feedback for a technical or screen problem. StoryReel documents Feedback for app-related assistance. StoryReel FAQ
7 Contact StoryReel customer service if you want to terminate the account. The User Agreement identifies customer service as the account-termination route. StoryReel User Agreement

Do not treat Profile > Top Up or Subscribe as a documented cancellation route. StoryReel’s FAQ identifies that route for subscribing and choosing a plan, not for canceling one. For the current iPhone app, StoryReel’s U.S. App Store listing instead gives this in-app route: top-right avatar > Payment and Subscription > Subscription > select the StoryReel subscription > Cancel Subscription. If that route is absent, use the receipt to determine whether Apple, Google Play, or StoryReel support is the appropriate next contact. StoryReel FAQ StoryReel on the App Store

If the app displays a plan name, purchase date, payment detail, or status, save a screenshot. StoryReel does not state which subscription details must appear in this area. StoryReel FAQ

Next, use your receipt to identify the biller:

  • Apple receipt or Apple purchase history: use Apple’s subscription controls.
  • Google Play receipt or Google Play purchase history: use Google Play’s subscription controls.
  • A receipt or statement that does not identify Apple or Google Play: do not assume that StoryReel directly processed the payment. First check StoryReel’s current app route for your device and version. The U.S. iPhone listing directs users to the top-right avatar > Payment and Subscription > Subscription > select the subscription > Cancel Subscription. A StoryReel developer response on Google Play directs users to update the app and check Profile > Settings > Manage Membership. If neither route is available, contact StoryReel at service@storyreel.life, provide the receipt details, and ask which billing route applies, whether renewal can be stopped, and the effective date. StoryReel on the App Store StoryReel on Google Play

Do not assume that a route shown for one device, store, plan, or app version applies to every purchase. Use Apple’s controls for an Apple-billed receipt and Google Play’s controls for a Google Play-billed receipt. Apple Support Google Play Help

Use Profile > Feedback if the app freezes or does not load; StoryReel’s FAQ documents Feedback for those technical problems. For cancellation or billing help, use the billing-provider route on the receipt, StoryReel’s applicable membership route, or StoryReel support. The current app-store listings direct users to Profile > Contact Support or service@storyreel.life for support. StoryReel FAQ StoryReel on the App Store StoryReel on Google Play

For a technical report, include the date of the issue, a short description, and a screenshot with sensitive details hidden. Do not send your password, full card number, card security code, or account recovery code.

For account termination, contact StoryReel customer service at service@storyreel.life. The User Agreement says users may terminate an account by contacting customer service and that fees incurred before termination remain payable. Account termination is separate from confirming that a recurring payment has been canceled. StoryReel User Agreement StoryReel on Google Play

If your receipt identifies StoryReel or does not identify Apple or Google Play, you can use this message when contacting customer service:

Please stop renewal for my StoryReel purchase and confirm the effective date. My account sign-in is [email or sign-in method]. The transaction date was [date], the amount was [amount], and the receipt or order number is [number].

Keep a copy of the request, receipt, and any response. The StoryReel User Agreement does not state a support response time or identify a confirmation method for a request to stop subscription renewal. StoryReel User Agreement

If Apple or Google Play billed you

Only use these routes after your receipt or purchase history names Apple or Google Play as the billing provider. StoryReel does not state that every StoryReel purchase uses either platform. StoryReel FAQ

If Apple billed the subscription

On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, select Subscriptions, choose the relevant subscription, and tap Cancel Subscription if the option appears. Apple provides these controls for subscriptions billed through Apple. Apple Support

If you do not see a Cancel button, Apple says the subscription may already be cancelled. Check the expiration information shown in Apple’s subscription settings. Apple Support

Save a screenshot of Apple’s displayed status and expiration date. Apple’s displayed status and expiration information are useful records when Apple billed the purchase. The StoryReel User Agreement does not state that StoryReel will send a separate cancellation email or give a specific response time. Apple Support StoryReel User Agreement

If Google Play billed the subscription

Open Google Play, go to your subscriptions, choose the relevant purchase, select the available cancellation option, and follow the prompts. Google Play says its subscriptions continue until you unsubscribe, and it charges at the start of each billing cycle under the applicable terms. Google Play Help

Removing an app does not cancel a Google Play subscription. After cancelling, check the status in Google Play and save the displayed record. Google Play Help

If the charge appears in neither store, return to the receipt or bank record. Another provider may have billed the purchase. If you recognize the purchase, use the provider identified there and keep your requests documented. If you do not recognize the charge or suspect it was unauthorized, contact your bank or card provider immediately; do not wait for merchant support. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Troubleshooting, refunds, and records

Keep receipts, screenshots, transaction records, and support messages in one place. The StoryReel User Agreement does not state how StoryReel will confirm a request to stop subscription renewal or give a specific support response time. StoryReel User Agreement Save any notice, email, or provider status update you receive.

StoryReel’s FAQ, User Agreement, and Privacy Policy do not state a standard subscription-cancellation fee, refund process, refund deadline, trial length, renewal schedule, or subscription-renewal cancellation workflow. However, the current U.S. App Store listing’s developer-supplied subscription description says that renewal is automatic 24 hours before the valid period and that there is no refund when a renewal succeeds. Do not treat that Apple-listing statement as a universal policy for every StoryReel billing route, and do not assume that account termination creates a refund right. Review the applicable store or payment provider’s policies and support route. StoryReel FAQ StoryReel User Agreement StoryReel Privacy Policy StoryReel on the App Store

StoryReel says it may collect profile information, credit-purchase information, and transaction-related information. It says full credit-card numbers go to third-party service providers and are not collected or stored by StoryReel. StoryReel Privacy Policy

If the service ends, StoryReel says it will stop collecting personal information and delete or anonymize it unless laws or regulators require retention. StoryReel Privacy Policy This statement addresses an end of the service; the policy does not say that closing an individual account triggers deletion or provide a specific deletion date.

If you want to start a plan later, StoryReel directs users to Profile > Top Up or Subscribe and then to choose a plan. StoryReel FAQ Check the terms displayed in the app then. The FAQ does not explain plan reactivation after cancellation or account termination.
