How to Cancel a VASA Membership: Notice, Fees, and Confirmation
To cancel a VASA membership, use one of VASA’s published cancellation channels and keep dated proof of your request. VASA says its automatic-debit authorization stays active until you cancel under the membership agreement. VASA Rules & Regulations
Under VASA’s general membership rules, VASA lists four ways to send a cancellation request: the VASA Mobile App, the VASA Help Center, Customer Service at support@vasafitness.com, or certified mail sent to VASA’s Member Services team at 1259 S 800 E, Orem, UT 84097. VASA also currently links to an Online Cancel portal, where you can choose barcode or member-number lookup and enter the requested identifying details. The portal says that if it cannot locate a membership based on the submitted information, the user should seek assistance to cancel. It also includes a message that some members are not allowed to cancel online and directs them to email support for assistance; use another VASA-published cancellation route if that occurs. Online Cancel portal Corporate Wellness memberships have separate published instructions: email corporatewellness@vasafitness.com or send notice by certified mail to that Member Services address. Your agreement and any applicable state-specific addendum may provide additional or different methods. VASA Rules & Regulations
Before you submit the request, collect your membership details and save a copy of your agreement. Keep your cancellation request, confirmation, and recent payment records together. Those records can help if you need VASA to review a billing question.
Before you cancel
VASA currently displays three membership tiers: BASIC at $14.99 per month, FITNESS at $24.99 per month, and STUDIO at $44.99 per month. The plans offer different access levels, but your signed agreement and account terms control your own membership. VASA Membership Plans
VASA’s rules describe memberships as month-to-month and say they cannot be paid months in advance. That does not remove the cancellation notice period, an applicable early-cancellation fee, unpaid charges, or other terms in your agreement. Review the agreement tied to your account before you send a request. VASA Rules & Regulations
Review any service add-ons before cancelling. VASA publishes separate cancellation provisions for personal training. KidCare and other add-ons may also involve added charges or service terms, depending on the membership and service selected. VASA Rules & Regulations
Use this reference table to prepare your request:
| What to check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Membership agreement date | Check the three-business-day cancellation deadline in your agreement and any applicable state addendum. VASA’s general rules refer to midnight of the third business day after execution, but state law can provide a different deadline or measure of time. VASA Rules & Regulations |
| Membership tier and home club | Your account can help identify the plan and location connected to your membership. BASIC, FITNESS, and STUDIO are VASA’s currently displayed tiers. VASA Membership Plans |
| Personal-training enrollment | Personal training has cancellation terms that differ from standard membership terms. VASA Rules & Regulations |
| Recent payments and scheduled drafts | Amounts owed through the cancellation date, including drafts set during the notice period, can remain payable. VASA Rules & Regulations |
| Freeze versus cancellation | A freeze pauses membership access for a limited period. Cancellation ends the membership under the applicable terms. VASA Rules & Regulations |
| Cancellation proof | An app screenshot, email copy, confirmation number, or certified-mail receipt can help with a later account question. |
A membership freeze is different from cancellation. VASA says members can request a freeze for up to 90 days through the VASA Mobile App, Help Center, or Customer Service. VASA charges $15 for each freeze request. Access and services pause during the freeze, while billing resumes automatically after 90 days unless you reactivate earlier. VASA Rules & Regulations
A freeze may be useful if you expect to return soon. It does not permanently end the membership. If you want to stop the membership, submit a cancellation request instead.
Steps to solve it
Use a cancellation method that VASA publishes. Do not depend on an assumed in-club process or an unverified third-party instruction. VASA identifies the VASA Mobile App, Help Center, Customer Service email, and certified mail as cancellation routes. VASA Rules & Regulations
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1. Read your agreement | Check the membership cancellation section and identify any personal-training or add-on terms. |
| 2. Gather account details | Have your full name, membership number if available, email address, phone number, and home-club details ready. |
| 3. Choose a published route | For a standard membership, use the VASA Mobile App, Help Center, Customer Service at support@vasafitness.com, or certified mail. Corporate Wellness members should use corporatewellness@vasafitness.com or certified mail. Also check your agreement and state addendum for any additional route. VASA Rules & Regulations |
| 4. Submit a clear request | State that you want to cancel and provide enough details for VASA to find the correct account. |
| 5. Save proof | Keep a screenshot, email copy, confirmation number, or mailing receipt with the submission date. |
| 6. Review billing activity | Compare later charges with VASA’s general 30-day notice rule, your agreement, any applicable state addendum, and charges already owed. VASA Rules & Regulations |
Cancellation checklist
- Find your membership agreement and any personal-training agreement.
- Check the three-business-day cancellation deadline in your agreement and any applicable state addendum; VASA’s general rules use three business days, but state-specific terms can differ.
- Choose a VASA-published cancellation route. VASA Rules & Regulations
- Include account details that help VASA identify your membership.
- Save dated proof that you sent the request.
- Review your bank or card activity during the 30-day notice period.
- Use a published VASA support channel if billing or confirmation details do not match your records.
For a status update or billing question, use a VASA-published cancellation or support channel. Include your saved confirmation, account details, cancellation date, and the dates of charges you want reviewed. This creates a clearer record than an informal conversation.
Fees, timing, and billing
Under VASA’s general published rules, members may cancel the membership and/or Personal Training agreement without penalty or further obligation before midnight of the third business day after the date on which the membership agreement is executed. VASA Rules & Regulations Check your agreement and applicable state addendum before relying on that deadline or method. VASA’s Arizona Membership Agreement Addendum applies to Arizona residents and members whose home gym is in Arizona, and it provides that the addendum controls over conflicting membership-agreement terms. For a contract for new or increased health-spa services under Arizona law, the statutory deadline is before midnight of the third operating day after the customer receives a copy of the contract. Arizona Revised Statutes § 44-1793 If you are within the applicable period, send the request promptly and retain proof of when you sent it.
Under VASA’s general published rules, members may cancel at any time with 30 days’ notice. Charges owed through the cancellation date remain due, including payments scheduled to draft during that notice period. VASA Rules & Regulations State-specific terms may differ, so compare any later payment with your agreement and applicable addendum before treating it as expected.
Under VASA’s general published terms, a $25 cancellation fee applies when a membership is cancelled before six months from the start of the Initial Term. The stated exception is an employer-subsidized Corporate Wellness membership. State-specific addenda may set other cancellation policies, so read your agreement and any applicable addendum. VASA Rules & Regulations
VASA’s automatic-debit authorization remains effective until you cancel according to the agreement. Its terms also provide for automatic renewal in successive monthly periods until cancellation or termination. VASA Rules & Regulations Keep your confirmation and compare later drafts with the notice period, any balance already owed, and your account terms.
An unpaid balance can remain due after cancellation if it accrued through the cancellation date. If you think a recognized VASA charge is wrong, provide VASA with your cancellation proof, relevant agreement, bank or card entry, and request date. Use one of VASA’s published cancellation routes rather than relying on a payment-method change. VASA states that amounts owed through cancellation, including applicable fees and payments set to draft during the 30-day notice period, remain due and collectible. VASA Rules & Regulations
Troubleshooting a cancellation or billing issue
If you cannot find a cancellation option in the app or Help Center, use another listed route. You can contact Customer Service at support@vasafitness.com or send the request by certified mail. Keep copies of what you send and the date you sent it. VASA Rules & Regulations
If VASA cannot locate your account, resend the request with your full name, contact information, membership number if available, and home-club information. Do not share unnecessary payment details in an email unless VASA asks through an official process.
If you see a charge after cancelling, first determine whether it is a VASA charge you recognize. If you do not recognize the charge or suspect fraud, promptly contact your bank or card provider rather than waiting for VASA to respond. For a recognized VASA charge, check the date you submitted notice. Under VASA’s general published terms, scheduled drafts during a 30-day notice period may remain due. VASA Rules & Regulations Compare the charge against your agreement, any applicable state addendum, and the date on your saved confirmation. CFPB: report suspicious charges or debits
If the charge still appears inconsistent with your terms, ask VASA to review it through a published support channel. Provide the charge date and amount, your cancellation evidence, and any applicable state addendum. This gives VASA the information needed to compare the charge with your account record.
Keep track of what you want to cancel.
Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cancel through the VASA app?
For a standard membership under VASA’s general published rules, yes: VASA lists the VASA Mobile App as a cancellation option. It also lists the Help Center, Customer Service at support@vasafitness.com, and certified mail sent to its Member Services address in Orem, Utah. Corporate Wellness members have separate published instructions, and an agreement or state addendum may provide additional methods. VASA Rules & Regulations
Use the method that works best for your account and save proof of the request. If you use certified mail, keep both the mailing receipt and delivery record.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Under VASA’s general published rules, members may cancel the membership and/or Personal Training agreement without penalty or further obligation before midnight of the third business day after the date on which the membership agreement is executed. Check your agreement and applicable state addendum, because state-specific deadlines and methods can differ. VASA Rules & Regulations
Under VASA’s general published terms, it charges a $25 cancellation fee when a membership ends before six months from the Initial Term start date. Employer-subsidized Corporate Wellness memberships are the stated exception. Charges already owed, as well as payments scheduled during the general 30-day notice period, may still be due; check any applicable state addendum for different terms. VASA Rules & Regulations
What happens to automatic payments after I cancel?
VASA states that automatic debit remains in effect until cancellation occurs under the membership agreement. Under its general published terms, members may cancel with 30 days’ notice, and payments scheduled to draft during that notice period remain due and collectible. Check your agreement and any applicable state addendum for different cancellation terms. VASA Rules & Regulations
Save your confirmation and review later statements. If a charge does not appear to fit the notice period or your account terms, contact VASA through a published support channel and provide your records.
Do I need to cancel personal training separately?
If you have a personal-training agreement, review its separate terms and clearly identify any personal-training service you want to cancel in your request. Under VASA’s published personal-training subscription provision, cancellation while the subscription is active is available for relocation more than 25 miles from the nearest VASA location or for selling or transferring remaining training, and VASA lists a $100 fee for either option. Different provisions apply after personal training moves to auto-renewal; also check your agreement and any applicable state addendum. VASA Rules & Regulations
Read your personal-training agreement before submitting a request. Keep documentation that supports a relocation-based cancellation or a request to transfer remaining training.
