How to Cancel BandLab Membership Without Losing Track of Your Projects

For a BandLab web purchase billed through Paddle, open Membership Settings → Change Plan → Cancel Subscription. For an app-store purchase, complete cancellation through the original store. BandLab's current subscription guide recommends acting at least 24 hours before renewal.

Before ending paid access, review any projects and features you depend on. Save work you are entitled to export and verify that the files open correctly outside the paid workflow.

Follow the original billing route

Check the receipt to identify Paddle, Apple, or Google Play. In BandLab's mobile flow, Membership Settings leads through Manage Subscription → Change Plan → Cancel Subscription, then to the mobile store where cancellation must be confirmed.

Do not stop when the store page opens. Finish the store's own confirmation and retain the resulting status. For Paddle purchases, use the web membership controls described above.

BandLab says membership perks continue until the current cycle ends after successful cancellation. Record that date and check renewal status separately from whether paid features still work today.

Prepare your work

List projects that use membership-specific features and identify anything you need to finish or export before the end date. Check completed audio files for missing sections and ensure you know where the original project lives.

Do not assume a downloaded mix preserves every editable project component. If a particular tool or asset is important, review its terms and access conditions before relying on it in an ongoing production.

Keep purchase records for separately obtained services. Stopping Membership should not be assumed to settle every other product or transaction without checking.

Refunds are not automatic

BandLab's refund policy generally excludes refunds for forgetting to cancel, losing interest, or not using membership services. It identifies verified billing errors and certain unresolved service errors as exceptions, subject to review and applicable rights.

Store-payment refunds must be requested from the respective store. For a direct payment, use the request route in the policy and include the transaction reference and factual explanation.

If approved, retain the refund decision and check for the credit. Do not treat the fact that renewal is disabled as proof that an earlier payment was returned.

Account deletion is not cancellation

The Membership FAQ explicitly says deleting the account does not automatically cancel Membership. Handle billing first and preserve the confirmation before considering account removal.

If you cannot locate a subscription, compare the receipt email and store account with your current login. Ask support to investigate missing paid access or unclear billing rather than buying another plan to test the account.

Check the result

Keep the canceled status, end date, and any refund decision with the receipt. Review the next relevant statement. If another charge appears, provide the confirmation and ask which subscription or service it belongs to before assuming it is the same membership.

Let Subpilot help

Keep track of what you want to cancel.

Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.
