How to Cancel a Bark Subscription and Handle Device Payments

For Bark's parental-control service, sign in, open Account, and select Cancel my account. If Apple or an affiliate manages your subscription, follow the billing instructions shown for that purchase instead. Bark's official cancellation guide explains these different routes.

This guide concerns Bark Technologies, not a dog-product subscription with a similar name. Check the receipt before changing anything.

Prepare the family's devices

Bark's guide says to uninstall Bark Kids from a child's ordinary iOS or Android device before cancellation, but to skip that step for a Bark Phone or Watch. Follow the instructions for the actual device you own rather than treating all Bark products as identical.

Plan how you will manage the child's device afterward. Review any replacement settings together and make sure needed contacts and basic functions work. Do not assume a canceled monitoring service still provides the same alerts or controls.

Keep important billing records before account access changes. Avoid unnecessarily copying private messages or other sensitive family information while preparing to cancel.

Cancel the account subscription

Open the Account page and follow the cancellation flow. Save the final result and the paid-period end date. Bark says access continues through the paid subscription period.

If the cancel button is absent, read the alternative instructions on that screen. Store-billed and affiliate subscriptions may need to be managed elsewhere. Match the provider to the receipt rather than opening a new subscription to obtain access.

Bark's billing guide places invoices and relevant billing controls in the Account area. Review upcoming charges there before deciding whether an amount is a subscription renewal or device-related payment.

Check device returns and installment balances

Under the cancellation guide, a Bark Phone or Watch with an outstanding Equipment Installment Plan balance outside the return window must be paid off before cancellation. Within the applicable return window, the guide describes return-label arrangements for supported devices after the paid period ends.

A fully owned Bark Phone can have Bark software removed during cancellation or through the Unlock option under deactivated devices. Follow the account's instructions for your situation and do not assume that stopping a subscription automatically removes software or clears a device balance.

Before returning hardware, ask support to confirm the device, return deadline, label, and required accessories. Save shipping tracking until receipt is confirmed. The return process and account cancellation should each have their own evidence.

Consider a pause only if you intend to return

Bark's billing guide describes a pause option but says it is unavailable while leasing certain Bark devices. Check the resume date and eligibility before selecting it. Changing a billing date also does not defer an already scheduled bill according to the guide.

If your goal is to stop the plan entirely, do not choose a temporary pause simply because it appears earlier in the flow. Review the final status and ask support to clarify any remaining charges.

When you need help

Use the support route on Bark's official contact page. State the product, billing provider, and whether a device balance or return is involved. Ask for the effective cancellation date and a written explanation of any amount still due.

Afterward, review the next relevant statement and keep the confirmation with invoices and return records. That combination is more informative than an app disappearing from a phone.

Let Subpilot help

Keep track of what you want to cancel.

Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.
