How to Cancel Total Drive and Protect Your Saved Files
To cancel Total Drive, sign in to the online portal, open My Subscriptions, and select Cancel Subscription for Total Drive. Complete the account-verification step and save the result. The official cancellation page explains the portal route and separate store-billed options.
Before ending a cloud-storage plan, make sure important files exist in another location you can access. Test the copies rather than assuming a thumbnail or shortcut is a complete backup.
Check the correct service and account
Find the receipt and identify whether Total Drive, Apple, or Google processed the purchase. Use the corresponding billing account. A subscription purchased on a website may not appear in a phone's store subscriptions.
Total Drive's billing help explains that related products can appear under a shared login while remaining separately billed subscriptions. Cancel the intended service explicitly and review any other active plans only if you also want them ended.
Do not assume canceling storage also cancels every related security product. Keep a record of the product name beside each completed change.
Complete cancellation and verification
Follow the portal instructions through the final confirmation. The official guide describes verification through the account email for direct purchases. Complete verification only on the official service, and do not send a login code to an unrelated cancellation company.
Ordinary cancellation disables renewal while leaving service active through the current term. Record the end date so you can finish any file transfers before access changes.
If you cannot sign in, use the official recovery or transaction-search options described in the guide. Include the receipt information when contacting support rather than creating a replacement subscription.
Check a backup before access changes
Choose a few important files and open the downloaded copies directly from their new location. Confirm that folders contain the expected files and that large items completed downloading. Keep at least one copy independent of the service you are canceling.
Do not delete the originals while troubleshooting a failed export. Resolve missing or incomplete copies first. If you are uncertain what will remain accessible after the term ends, ask support before relying on continued access.
Request a refund separately
The pricing and subscription FAQ distinguishes stopping renewal from immediate termination and refund requests. It describes request windows of 30 days from starting annual or biannual plans and 14 days for monthly or quarterly plans. An approved refund ends access immediately.
Check the purchase type and date against those conditions. Do not treat them as a promise that every renewal or late request qualifies. Explain the payment you want reviewed and obtain a written decision.
If immediate termination is involved, finish any necessary backup first. Retain the refund amount and processing confirmation, then check the original payment method for the credit.
Final verification
Your records should show the specific Total Drive plan, renewal status, access end date, and any refund outcome. Review the next relevant statement. If another charge appears, ask whether it belongs to Total Drive or a separately billed service using the shared portal.
Keep track of what you want to cancel.
Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.
