How to Cancel a LawDepot Subscription
Start at LawDepot's official Cancel Your Subscription page. Choose Sign In to Cancel and complete the instructions. If you cannot access the account, the page also offers Cancel without Signing In and lists 877-509-4398 for billing assistance. LawDepot cancellation page
Before canceling, identify whether your receipt describes a subscription, trial, or another purchase. This guide addresses recurring access; it does not assume that every document purchase creates the same billing arrangement.
Cancel through LawDepot
- 1
Open the official cancellation page directly.
- 2
Sign in using the account associated with the receipt.
- 3
Check which subscription the page identifies.
- 4
Follow the cancellation prompts through the final confirmation.
- 5
Save the confirmation and any stated access end date.
If the page appears incomplete, check that your browser can load the site's required features. LawDepot's cancellation page states that JavaScript and cookies are required. Do not mistake a browser-loading problem for a completed cancellation. Official cancellation page
If you cannot sign in
Use the alternative cancellation route displayed on the page or contact billing support. LawDepot lists US billing-support hours as Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Check the page for current availability before calling. Billing assistance
Have the account email, charge date, and order reference ready. Ask the representative to locate the existing purchase rather than opening a new account to search for it. If several email addresses may have been used, check your receipts first.
State the desired outcome plainly: end the recurring subscription and confirm whether another payment is scheduled. If you only ask why a charge appeared, the conversation may not clearly communicate that you also want cancellation.
Save your documents and billing records
Before access changes, download the documents you need using the features available in your plan. Check that the files open and that you saved the intended versions. Keep editable copies where your purchase allows them, as well as final copies you already completed.
For documents containing personal information, choose a secure storage location. Do not attach sensitive legal documents to a routine cancellation request unless support specifically needs relevant information through an appropriate channel.
Canceling access to a document service does not itself amend a document you already signed or resolve an obligation described in it. If that is your concern, obtain advice specific to the document rather than relying on subscription cancellation to change its effect.
Trials and refund requests
Use the trial deadline and renewal terms in your own order confirmation. Do not assume that downloading one document automatically ends recurring access or that a trial remains active until you next sign in.
If you want a refund, ask billing support to review the identified transaction. Explain the payment date, amount, and reason. This guide does not promise that cancellation automatically refunds the current period or that all purchases have the same refund entitlement.
If a refund is approved, save the approval and check for the credit separately from checking subscription status.
Confirm the outcome
Retain the cancellation date, account email, and confirmation outside the LawDepot account. After the former renewal date, review your statement. If another charge appears, contact billing support with those details and ask which purchase or period it covers. That is more useful than submitting a second general cancellation request without the original record.
Keep track of what you want to cancel.
Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.
