Before you cancel, save the resume and cover-letter versions you need for applications. Make sure you have the final files, not just links back to the online builder.

Complete the cancellation

  1. 1

Sign in with the email used to purchase the plan.

  2. 2

Open the user menu and Manage Account.

  3. 3

Select the cancellation option and confirm it.

  4. 4

Check your inbox and spam folder for the confirmation number.

  5. 5

Keep that number with the purchase receipt.

ResumeNerd also accepts cancellation by email at help@resumenerd.com or through its US support number, 844-363-0076. If using support, state that you want the recurring subscription canceled and ask for the same written confirmation. Official cancellation options

Preserve the documents you need

ResumeNerd says registered users can still view stored documents after cancellation, but editing, printing, and sharing require reactivation. Saving useful copies before changing access avoids depending on a feature you may no longer have. Document access after cancellation

Open each downloaded file and check the page count, contact details, dates, and formatting. If you created several versions, label them by role or employer so you do not accidentally submit an outdated version.

Keep the billing confirmation separately from your application materials. A recruiter does not need to receive subscription receipts or cancellation records with a resume.

If you cannot find the plan

Search your email for the original purchase and check whether you used a different login. If the account does not show the billed subscription, contact support with the payment date and amount instead of creating another paid account.

A concise request can say: “Please cancel the ResumeNerd subscription associated with [email]. Please send the cancellation number and confirm whether any further subscription fee is scheduled. The payment I am referring to was [amount] on [date].”

Do not email a password or complete payment-card details. Ask support for the appropriate verification process if it cannot locate the account from ordinary purchase information.

Refunds and unexpected charges

ResumeNerd states that refunds are not guaranteed. Request review of a specific transaction rather than assuming cancellation itself returns the payment. Refund information

Explain whether the charge occurred before or after cancellation, and include the confirmation number if relevant. If you receive an approval, retain its amount and payment details until the credit appears.

Do not confuse a free account that stores documents with an active paid subscription. Verify the billing status directly rather than using your ability to sign in as the test.

Account deletion is optional and separate

If you also want stored documents deleted, ask about that after saving the copies you need and resolving billing. Keep the cancellation record outside the account before requesting any deletion.

After the next expected renewal date, review your statement. If another charge appears, provide support with the cancellation number, account email, and transaction details. That gives it a precise record to investigate rather than another general request to cancel.

Let Subpilot help

Keep track of what you want to cancel.

Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.
