First identify whether you have a paid SmartyPlus membership. Removing a browser extension, leaving a shopping page, or stopping use of cashback offers is not the same as confirming that a paid membership has ended.

Cancel the paid membership

  1. 1

Sign in using the email associated with your membership receipt.

  2. 2

Open your profile and the membership tab.

  3. 3

    Select Cancel Smarty+ Subscription.

  4. 4

    Complete the confirmation steps.

  5. 5

Check for the cancellation email and save it.

Smarty's help page says no further membership charges should follow the completed cancellation. If you do not receive confirmation, ask its support team to verify the account status. Official cancellation process

Do not confuse a retention offer or a changed membership level with cancellation. Read the result before closing the page, especially if it displays another future billing date.

Find the account connected to the charge

Use the original welcome email and payment record. If the account appears empty, check another email you may have used during a shopping session. Ask support to match the charge rather than opening a new membership.

Provide the date, amount, and account email in your request. You can also ask whether the transaction was an initial membership payment or a later renewal. This helps explain the charge without assuming every payment has the same cause.

Avoid posting payment screenshots containing personal information in a public review. Use the official support channel and redact details not needed to identify the transaction.

Refunds are a separate issue

Smarty's refund help directs customers to cancel or contact customer service about a refund. It gives an expected arrival of three to five business days after a refund is initiated. This describes processing after initiation, not a guarantee that every request will be approved. Smarty refund help

Ask for the approved amount and confirmation that the refund has actually been initiated. Use only a verified, secure support process for payment identification; do not send your complete card number or security code in an ordinary email.

If the issue is a payment after a previous cancellation, attach the confirmation and identify the later charge. If you canceled after renewal, explain that timing accurately.

Cashback and account deletion

If you have a pending cashback or rebate claim, ask how cancellation affects it before deleting the account. Record the claim reference, transaction date, and status. Do not assume that canceling the paid plan automatically pays out a pending claim or that every benefit survives account deletion.

Keep membership cancellation, cashback questions, and deletion requests separate. That makes it easier to tell which action support has completed.

Check that billing has stopped

Save the cancellation email with your receipt and any refund response. Review the next expected billing date and compare your statement with the account outcome. If a new payment appears, ask support which membership and period it belongs to and provide the earlier cancellation record. Keep following the same conversation until both the subscription status and the transaction are explained.
