How to Cancel a Bumble Subscription and Stop Renewal

To cancel Bumble Boost, Premium, or Premium+, use the billing route you originally chose: Apple subscriptions, Google Play subscriptions, or Bumble’s own subscription settings. For direct card, PayPal, and Apple Pay purchases, Bumble’s current instructions point to your profile, Subscription details, then Manage your subscription. Do not assume that paying with Apple Pay means Apple manages the subscription. Bumble cancellation instructions

The goal is to stop renewal and retain evidence that it stopped. Asking for your money back is a separate task, and deleting a profile is a different decision again.

Find the purchase before choosing a cancellation route

Start with the receipt for the most recent payment. Check the account email, purchased plan, billing provider, and transaction date. Keep the receipt open while you cancel so you can compare it with the subscription you select.

Use this practical checklist:

  • Is the charge for a recurring plan or a separate purchase?
  • Which account received the receipt?
  • Does the payment appear in Apple, Google Play, or Bumble’s payment history?
  • What renewal or expiration date does that account currently show?

An iPhone alone does not identify the biller. Follow the receipt rather than guessing from the device you use today. If you have changed devices, check the account used for the original purchase before creating another subscription.

Cancel through the correct billing account

Apple App Store

On your iPhone, open Settings, select your name, and open Subscriptions. Choose Bumble and use the cancellation control. Complete the confirmation prompts rather than leaving after selecting the plan.

Google Play

In Google Play, open your profile, then Payments & subscriptions and Subscriptions. Select Bumble and cancel the subscription, following the remaining prompts.

Card, PayPal, or Apple Pay billed through Bumble

Open Bumble, select your profile, then Subscription details and Manage your subscription. Choose cancellation and finish the process. These are the routes listed in Bumble’s current support guide.

Afterward, save the displayed result. A useful record includes the plan name, the date you acted, and the date access ends. If the screen only offers a different plan or a discount, decide whether you want that offer; do not mistake reviewing it for completing cancellation.

Check access and request a refund separately

Bumble says ordinary cancellation leaves paid benefits available until the subscription period ends. Its terms also distinguish stopping a subscription from removing your profile. If you want to leave the service entirely, first verify the billing change, then review account deletion separately. Bumble terms

For an Apple-billed purchase, request a refund through Apple’s Report a Problem service. Bumble directs Google Play purchasers to Google’s refund route, while requests concerning card, Apple Pay, PayPal, or Bumble Web payments go to Bumble support. Eligibility depends on the purchase, platform, and location; cancellation is not a refund approval. Bumble refund guidance

When contacting support, include the order number, account email or phone number, user ID if available, payment method, and a brief explanation. Say whether you need future renewal stopped, a specific payment reviewed, or both. Avoid sending a password or a complete card number.

If Bumble is missing or billing continues

First compare the account and receipt. An empty subscription list is not enough evidence that the payment has been canceled: you may be looking in the wrong billing account. For direct billing when you cannot access Bumble, use the support link in its cancellation guide.

For a disputed later payment, prepare a simple timeline: original purchase, cancellation attempt, confirmation, and charge date. Ask support to identify which purchase the charge relates to. Attach your cancellation record so the investigation starts with evidence rather than an assumption about what happened.

You can also keep a subscription checklist alongside other recurring expenses, using a spreadsheet or a tool such as Subpilot. Your proof of cancellation should still come from the billing provider.

Keep track of what you want to cancel.

Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel without asking for a refund?

Yes. Treat renewal cancellation and reimbursement as separate requests. Choose the first when you only want the next payment stopped; use the refund process if you also want an existing payment reviewed.

Should I delete my profile first?

Keep access long enough to check billing and save your records. Bumble’s terms explain that cancellation does not itself remove the profile. Decide about deletion after you have resolved the subscription.
