If you bought access for a single property search, check whether your receipt describes a recurring membership. Completing the search is not a cancellation request. Focus on the plan attached to your receipt rather than the number of reports you used.

Online cancellation steps

  1. 1

Sign in to the Ownerly account that received the purchase confirmation.

  2. 2

    Open Contact Us.

  3. 3

Select Cancel My Account and complete the cancellation instructions.

  4. 4

Save the final confirmation or support response.

  5. 5

Recheck the account's membership status before closing the page.

Ownerly's cancellation help says a canceled account can still be accessible for reactivation. Being able to sign in afterward therefore does not, by itself, show that cancellation failed. Do not accept a reactivation option unless you want to restart the service. Ownerly cancellation help

If you cannot find your membership

Search your email for the welcome message and check Account Details for the membership ID. Ownerly identifies both as places to find that number. If you cannot locate it, use the email address associated with the purchase when contacting support. Membership identification

Check spelling and alternate email addresses before creating another account. A new login may not contain the subscription you are trying to cancel. If a family member purchased the membership, ask that account holder to handle verification rather than sending support someone else's credentials.

For an unclear charge, record the date, amount, and statement description. Ask support to match it to the membership and explain the billing period. Avoid guessing that a recent charge must be for a new report; the receipt and account record are better evidence.

Requesting cancellation through support

State your request directly: you want the recurring membership canceled, with no further renewals. Include the account email or membership ID and ask for a confirmation. Ownerly also publishes support@ownerly.com in its help center. Ownerly subscription support

If you also want a refund, identify that as a second request. A message about dissatisfaction with a property report does not clearly tell support whether you want billing stopped, a payment reviewed, or both.

Refunds and previously incurred charges

Ownerly's terms distinguish ending a membership from charges already incurred. Do not assume cancellation automatically reverses a previous payment. Ask for a review of the specific transaction and explain why you believe a refund is appropriate. Ownerly terms

Include any earlier cancellation confirmation if the payment occurred afterward. If support approves a refund, keep the amount and payment reference with your original receipt. A refund approval and the money appearing on your statement are separate stages; check for both.

Verify the result

Keep the account identifier, cancellation date, and confirmation in one place. On the next expected renewal date, compare your statement with that record. If another charge appears, ask Ownerly which account and billing period it belongs to.

Canceling paid access should also not be treated as a request to change a property record or remove personal information. If either of those is your goal, describe it separately to support and ask for the appropriate process. That prevents a billing request from being mistaken for a data question.
