How to Cancel BestFreeScore and Verify the Membership Ends

The published standard offer is a $1 processing fee for a seven-day trial, followed by $39.94 per month unless canceled before the trial ends. Promotional or retention offers may differ, and product-specific terms can take precedence. Match the terms to your own checkout confirmation rather than assuming every customer pays the same amount.

Locate the correct membership

Search your email for the purchase confirmation and check the spelling of the service name. Credit-monitoring products can have similar names, and a cancellation sent to another provider will not resolve this membership.

Record the email used to enroll, the date of purchase, and the recent charge you want to discuss. If the receipt includes a membership reference, keep it available for support verification.

Ask for cancellation directly

If you cannot sign in, explain that at the start of the support conversation. Ask support to locate the existing subscription rather than enrolling again.

A useful request is: “Please cancel the BestFreeScore membership associated with [email]. Confirm the effective date and whether any further membership payment is scheduled. My purchase reference is [reference].”

Trials and pending charges

Check the exact deadline in your enrollment confirmation. If a trial is close to ending, request cancellation promptly and record the time. Not using the service does not cancel it. Section 3 also says failed identity verification does not automatically cancel membership. Cancel before the first scheduled paid charge to avoid the recurring trial conversion fee.

If a payment is already pending, ask which billing period it covers and whether it can be stopped or reviewed. A pending transaction and a future membership renewal are different questions; obtain an answer for each.

Ask about refunds separately

Section 10 says cancellation stops future charges when effective, while access continues through the paid period. Fees already incurred are generally not refundable or prorated, except where the law or express membership terms provide otherwise. If a refund is approved, save the amount and processing details. Verify the credit on your statement rather than treating a request acknowledgment as proof that money was returned.

Confirm completion

Keep the cancellation confirmation with your receipt. Check the payment account after the next expected renewal date. If another charge appears, provide the earlier cancellation record and ask support to identify the account and billing period.

Do not email your password, full card number, or complete identity documents as a routine cancellation request. Use the provider's verified verification process if more information is needed.
