Sezzle's official instructions say cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. They recommend making changes at least 24 hours before billing because later changes may not stop the next payment in time.

Identify what you are canceling

Premium and Anywhere are subscription products. Before changing them, make a separate record of any purchases and payment schedules in your account. Do not interpret stopping a membership as confirmation that a purchase balance or scheduled repayment has disappeared.

Check the membership name and next billing date against the receipt. If you do not remember subscribing, ask Sezzle to identify the enrollment and offer rather than assuming a subscription fee is an installment for a purchase.

Complete cancellation in the app or website

Use one of the documented routes above and follow the final prompts. Save the result and the billing-cycle end date. If the app still shows benefits available, check whether that reflects remaining paid access rather than another scheduled renewal.

If the cancellation control is missing, verify the account and use the support request link in the official Help Center. Describe the screen and step where you are stuck. Do not send a full payment-card number or account password in a support message.

Review purchase payments separately

After canceling the membership, inspect your purchase-payment schedule. Ask support to explain any amount you do not understand and whether it is a membership fee or a purchase payment.

A useful request is:

Please confirm that my Premium or Anywhere subscription will not renew. Please also explain which of the payments currently shown are membership charges and which relate to purchases already made.

Keep the reply with your cancellation confirmation. Avoid removing a payment method simply to test whether all obligations have ended; that does not establish the status of the underlying purchases.

If another membership charge appears

Compare the transaction with the cancellation time and next billing date. Sezzle expressly warns that changes within 24 hours of processing may not take effect before that payment. Ask support which period the payment covers and whether it qualifies for correction or refund review.

Do not assume a refund is automatic. Record the actual decision and, if approved, the amount and processing reference. If you believe a transaction was never authorized, explain that accurately to the payment provider rather than treating every unwanted fee as the same issue.

Membership cancellation versus account closure

Decide whether your goal is only to stop paid membership or to close the account entirely. Use Sezzle's separate account-closure guidance if that is also required, and resolve questions about remaining purchases first.

Retain access to receipts and payment records until everything is clear. The final check is a documented end to subscription renewal plus a separate understanding of any purchase payments that remain.

Let Subpilot help

Keep track of what you want to cancel.

Review your subscriptions in Subpilot and request cancellation help where supported. Some providers require you to act directly; submitting a request does not confirm cancellation.
